Last updated: October 17, 2026

CheckrideIQ is operated by Alpha Echo Consulting LLC, based in Austin, Texas ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use checkrideiq.app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your email address, password (stored securely and never visible to us), and the name you enter in your profile.
  • Training profile: your home airport, the checkride you are preparing for, and similar preferences.
  • Session content: your answers to the examiner, the examiner's questions, the weather and practice NOTAMs used, scores, and debriefs.
  • Payment information: plan, purchase and subscription status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Contact form messages: your name, email, message, and the IP address used to send it (for spam and abuse prevention).
  • Usage and device data: pages visited, browser type, IP address, and cookies or similar technologies, as described below.

How we use your information

  • To run your practice orals, generate debriefs, and track your progress across ACS Areas.
  • To manage your account, plan, payments, refunds, and the CheckrideIQ Guarantee.
  • To answer your messages and provide support.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To measure how well our advertising works (see "Advertising and the Meta Pixel").

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run CheckrideIQ:

  • Hosting and database providers that store your account and session data.
  • AI model providers that process your session answers to generate examiner responses and debriefs. Your answers are sent only to produce those responses.
  • Stripe, which processes payments under its own privacy policy.
  • Email delivery providers that send account and contact-form emails.
  • Weather data sources, which receive the airport identifier needed to fetch today's weather.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc., for advertising measurement as described below.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Advertising and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), to measure the effectiveness of our ads. When you visit our site, the Pixel may send Meta information such as the pages you view, your IP address, browser and device details, and identifiers stored in Meta cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc). Meta may use this information to tell us how our ads perform, to help show our ads to people who may be interested, and for its own purposes as described in Meta's Privacy Policy.

We record page views and a one-time CompleteRegistration event when a new account's email verification succeeds, to measure completed registrations from our advertising. We also record InitiateCheckout after a paid checkout initializes and a one-time Purchase after the specific positive payment is confirmed by Stripe. Purchase includes only the confirmed amount and currency as event parameters. We do not send Stripe identifiers, checkout references, card information, or account identifiers to Meta. We do not send Meta your name, email address, home airport, aircraft, session answers, scores, or other profile information as event parameters.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, or whose location we cannot determine, do not receive the Meta Pixel. A purchase blocked by these restrictions is not replayed later if eligibility changes.

Your choices: you can limit ad tracking with your browser's cookie and privacy settings or a content blocker, adjust your Meta ad preferences, or opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and make the site work. Advertising cookies are set only by the Meta Pixel as described above.

How long we keep it

We keep account and session data while your account is open. When you delete your account from your profile, we cancel any active subscription and delete your account and session data, except records we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons. Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of "sharing" for targeted advertising. To make a request, use our contact form. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers to protect your information. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

CheckrideIQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions? Reach us through the contact form.
